If you’re traveling in the Province of Alberta – Canada 🍁, and searching for Camping Near Cochrane Alberta, then you simply must check out The Bow Rivers Edge Campground.
This is a full facility 🚌 RV park, conveniently located right in the heart of the city. Ideally located within a couple of minutes to the town center, and situated right along the banks of the beautiful Bow River.
Cochrane still has a proud 🐎 western heritage, yet with all the modern conveniences a small city has to offer.
Cochrane is just 18 km west of the 🐴 Calgary city limits, along scenic Highway 1A. Situated alongside the beautiful Bow River, this is an ideal place to spend time when traveling in this part of Alberta.
My wife and I did just that, and were we glad we did! 🙂
The park is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful that we have stayed at in all our travels throughout North America.
Cochrane’s location is ideal for travelers heading in all directions on the 🗺 map, and a perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors year round.
You are just minutes from the bustling {🐎 City of Calgary} to the east, and with just over an hour’s drive to world renowned 🏔 Banff National Park to the west.
The Old Town of Cochrane has been completely revitalized, and has now become a major tourist attraction. Here you can enjoy strolling down the main street, where you will find unique shopping outlets and some great 🍦 dining options.
Bow Rivers Edge is just minutes away, and there are scenic 🚶 walking parkway paths that will lead you along the river’s edge. You can also take this path all the way into town if you like!
The park is also located right beside the city’s recreation center, which at the time of our stay, was undergoing a major expansion to include an 🏊 aquatic center and much more!
The walkway along the river is simply beautiful, with park land along the way!
Complete with benches all along, to sit and enjoy the scenery. It’s a perfect place for those of you like us, traveling with 🐕 pets.
There’s even an off leash section where your furry companion can run with others as they please!
The RV Park is owned by the Rotary and Lions Clubs of Cochrane, and is not run as a for profit business.
Each year, profits obtained from the campground are dispersed back into the community. This is done by way of grants and bursaries for community based organizations.
Each site is beautifully manicured with nice level sites, picnic tables and privacy hedging and trees.
You can expect everything a First Class Recreational Vehicle Park has to offer and much more.
