This edition of Gr8 Travel Tips 📸 Photo Den takes you to 🏝 Mystery Island, located in the beautiful South Pacific!
A presentation of our personal 📸 photographs taken during our travel adventures around the 🗺 world. My travel photo this time takes you to one of the most beautiful hidden 💎 gems in the 🌴 South Pacific called – Mystery Island.
This tiny speck of an island is located in Vanuatu’s archipelago, furthest to the south.
Although we stopped here briefly while on our amazing 🛳 South Pacific Cruise Vacation, it was still possible to find your piece of paradise away from the crowds, and experience a small piece of tropical heaven!
Mystery Island
During WWII, this small island was used as a 🛬 landing strip for our allied forces. Pieces of the strip can still be seen and where locals set up their souvenir huts to sell to those like us visiting.
The locals living in the area, reside just across the water on a larger more inhabited island.
For those who recall the old American hit television series 🏝 Gilligan’s Island, you really get the feeling, that you are out in the middle of nowhere on a tiny piece of 🌴 tropical paradise!
